This is the 6th edition of its kind initiative by the Goa Forest Department to hold a Bird Festival of Goa in January , 2023. Goa Tourism Department is partnering of the event. The festival will take place on the grounds of the Eco Tourism Complex of Bondla Wildlfie Sanctuary from 20-22 January, 2023. There will be talks by prominent ornithologist from around the globe. Workshops by professional photographers, art shows by renowned artists . Early morning would be for bird watching in the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary and other Forest Reserves , followed by talks/workshops during the day. Talks will be held in parallel sessions with interactive sessions to allow for open discussions of different subjects. There will be a photo exhibition featuring some of the best works of different photographers, and a live birding related demonstration as well as live demonstrations on the art of drawing and painting birds.

This festival proposes activities that cater to varied interest levels and has been therefore conceptualized with a view to bring together professionals from academia, field experts and industry to impart attributes of wild life and biodiversity conservation among public not just for education or entertainment but to groom them as nature lovers through exchange and sharing of experiences, ideas & knowledge.
